Ireland Trip : 24th September

I’m back in Germany. All the way from Galway to Shannon Airport I had this sad feeling of having to leave Ireland. I wish I could stay longer or maybe have the chance to go back there.

I don’t know why but I really love to take video of Ireland. I don’t usually like to take videos.  Maybe the scenery calls for it. And I would say Ireland is the best choice if anyone wants to try to travel alone. The people are super duper friendly, they speak English and there are a lot of tours with reasonable pricing.

Well I guess I made a good choice this time. The experience, I shall cherish them as long as I breathe.

‘It is He who made the earth tame for you – so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision – and to Him is the resurrection.’ (67:15)

Ireland Trip : 23rd September

A lucky mistake ever that I boarded the wrong bus yesterday. It was raining cats and dogs at Connemara. Luckily it was my last tour and of course it should rain at least a day in my whole trip.

Like Martin said, ‘Just to remind you that it’s Ireland. We have three seasons. About to rain, it’s raining and after the rain.’

Well Martin is our driver cum tour guide for the two-days tour. He gave us a lot of information and interesting stories.

Our first stop was at an old bar in Leenane. Martin said it serves the best Irish coffee in town. So I was eager to try it. Unfortunately, I ordered wrongly. I thought if we said coffee, it would be understood as Irish coffee.

Then an uncle from US (also from our group) sat next to me and ordered Irish coffee. He said it was good and offered it to me. Then I asked what was the difference between ordinary coffee and Irish coffee?
‘Well, there’s Whisky in it. Would you like to have some?’
I guess it was *Fortunate I ordered wrongly.

Then we went to Kylemore where a beautiful love story lies… Well about a couple, a husband, a wife with nine kids.

I didn’t have much to write about today because I was affected by the heavy rain earlier. I got to pack my luggage for tomorrow! Somehow I feel sad to leave Ireland..

Ireland Trip : 22nd September

Guess what, I boarded the wrong bus! Hahaha..  As I booked a 2 days tour, one bus was going to Cliffs of Moher and the other to Connemara. I should have gone to Connemara today. But somehow I kept on saying I was going to Cliffs of Moher since I woke up. People said, things you said often becomes a prayer.

I met new friends again. This time Izzati from Aceh, Indonesia and Emilia from Toronto. Again it was great to meet new people and talk about new things from different perspective.

I took a lot of photos and videos at Cliffs of Moher. Once again a must visit place. Not to forget, this place was also in the Westlife’s My Love MV. The weather was also great. It only started to rain when we were already on the bus. I guess I had a better luck with the weather here in Ireland.

Next stop was Doolin, a small village. We stopped there for lunch then we continued our journey to ‘The Burren Code’. Well I didn’t really understand how it was formed, but I guess geologist should come to Ireland. There are so many things that are related to Geography here.

Last stop, Kinvara –Dungory West. There’s a small castle there. But I was not sure to whom the castle belong. Here we took a group photo too! Me, Izzati and Emilia.(in my Instagram)

As we arrived at Galway, we bid our farewells and exchange contacts. They only took the one day tour to Cliffs of Moher.

As it was still early around 5p.m, I strolled around Galway claimed to be the City of Culture. Indeed. The buildings there looked old and classic compared to Dublin.

I felt comfortable strolling along the pedestrian shopping street. I might as well looked like a citizen! I searched for postcards and souvenirs. Guess what actually I got for myself.

Why not? It’s Ireland!
